Idaho ODP identifies and develops ambitious players by providing ambitious athletes with opportunities to train, compete, and grow beyond their club and school soccer experiences. Through Regional Training Centers, state-level programming, and regional competition opportunities, Idaho ODP brings together motivated players and experienced coaches from across the state in an environment focused on long-term player development. As part of the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program, Idaho ODP serves as a pathway for players seeking additional challenges, exposure, and opportunities to pursue their highest level of play.
Open to boys and girls ages U19-U11 throughout Idaho.
WHAT IS IDAHO ODP?
The Idaho Olympic Development Program (ODP) is the official state identification and development program of Idaho Youth Soccer Association and the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program.
Designed as a supplemental training environment, Idaho ODP brings together motivated players from across the state to train, compete, and develop beyond their club and school soccer experiences.
Through Regional Training Centers, state-level training opportunities, and regional competition events, players receive additional development opportunities while being evaluated within the US Youth Soccer ODP pathway.
Idaho ODP serves boys and girls throughout the state and provides opportunities for players to represent Idaho while pursuing regional and national identification opportunities.

ODP complements a player’s club and school environment by providing additional training opportunities focused on individual growth and long-term development.

Idaho ODP is built around a statewide Regional Training Center model that creates greater access and development opportunities for players across the state.
Through Regional Training Centers in North, East, and Southwest Idaho, athletes can train closer to home while remaining connected to a unified statewide player pathway.
This structure allows Idaho ODP to identify talent from every corner of the state while providing meaningful development opportunities to more players than a traditional state team model alone.
Whether a player lives in Sandpoint, Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Boise, or anywhere in between, Idaho ODP is committed to creating opportunities for athletes throughout Idaho.
THE IDAHO ODP PATHWAY
Tryouts – July
Players participate in regional tryout events and are evaluated by Idaho ODP staff.
Regional Training Centers – Trainings Start October (Youngers) and November (Olders)
Selected players train within their region through ongoing supplemental development opportunities throughout the season.
Idaho ODP RTC Pools – Program Cycle from October to March
Players continue to be evaluated and identified for state-level player pools.
Idaho ODP Pool ID Events – November and December Friendlies
Pool players represent Idaho at regional competitions and ODP events.
Regional Events & Championships – January and February State Select Team
Idaho teams compete against other state associations from across the West, Mideast and East Regions.
Regional & National Opportunities – USYS West Region ID Camp (July), Interregional Camp (January), & National ODP Team Invitations (March-April)
Outstanding players may be identified for additional opportunities within the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program pathway.

Regional Training Centers (RTCs) serve as the foundation of Idaho ODP’s player development model.
RTCs provide consistent supplemental training opportunities while supporting player identification and long-term development throughout the season.

2026-2027 IDAHO ODP TRYOUTS
All players must register for tryouts using the GotSport portal link below. If you have questions or need more information, contact info@idahoyouthsoccer.org.
Players may attend the tryout location that best fits their schedule and travel needs. Following the tryout process, selected players will have the opportunity to identify their preferred Regional Training Center based on their home location.
TRYOUT LOCATIONS & TIMES
Three tryout sessions will be held across Idaho. By registering, you reserve a spot at the location that best fits your schedule and travel needs but are open to attend any of the tryout weekend locations below. After tryouts, you’ll be able to declare your preferred State Pool RTC based on your home location if selected. Registrants will receive follow-up information and instructions including field number assignments, gear to bring, etc.

UNABLE TO ATTEND A TRYOUT?
Players who cannot attend a scheduled tryout are encouraged to complete the registration process and notify Idaho ODP staff of their interest.
Please email info@idahoyouthsoccer.org with your player’s information, previous ODP experience, and any additional details that may assist in the evaluation process.
While attendance is strongly encouraged, Idaho ODP is committed to identifying and providing opportunities for players throughout the state whenever possible.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE – ODP SCHOLARSHIP FORM
Idaho Youth Soccer believes every player should have access to developmental opportunities regardless of financial circumstances.
Need-based scholarships are available for qualifying participants. Scholarship applications will be reviewed following the completion of the tryout process, with award notifications communicated after player selections are finalized.
