In 2023, he stepped into a full starting role, beginning all 23 matches for Clemson and solidifying himself as a defensive cornerstone. He recorded seven clean sheets during the season, was a member of the NCAA National Championship team, contributed significantly in postseason play with multiple NCAA Tournament shutouts, and earned NCAA All-Tournament Team and Academic All-ACC honors in recognition of both performance and academic achievement. During the 2024 season, Andema started 16 games before suffering a season-ending leg injury against Virginia Tech. Before that setback, he went 11–2–2 with four shutouts and maintained a strong goals-against average, again earning Academic All-ACC recognition. In 2025, as a senior, he started all 17 games, finished the season with three shutouts, and made notable contributions in goal while continuing to provide leadership and experience at the back.
