Andema began his collegiate career at Clemson University in 2022 as a freshman goalkeeper, immediately making an impact by starting and appearing in 16 matches, recording eight clean sheets, ranking among the top freshmen in the ACC and NCAA in shutouts, and earning ACC All-Freshman Team honors as well as his team’s Newcomer of the Year award. In 2023, he stepped into a full starting role, beginning all 23 matches for Clemson and solidifying himself as a defensive cornerstone. He recorded seven clean sheets during the season, was a member of the NCAA National Championship team, contributed significantly in postseason play with multiple NCAA Tournament shutouts, and earned NCAA All-Tournament Team and Academic All-ACC honors in recognition of both performance and academic achievement. During the 2024 season, Andema started 16 games before suffering a season-ending leg injury against Virginia Tech. Before that setback, he went 11–2–2 with four shutouts and maintained a strong goals-against average, again earning Academic All-ACC recognition. In 2025, as a senior, he started all 17 games, finished the season with three shutouts, and made notable contributions in goal while continuing to provide leadership and experience at the back.
