COMBO COURSE OPTION IN TWIN FALLS

 

Idaho Youth Soccer and Twin Falls partner to host this combo course on August 23rd/24th. Friday night Positive Coaching Alliance Double Goal Coach Workshop and Saturday will have offer the US Soccer 7v7 and 11v11 Grassroots in Person courses. 

 

About the Double Goal Coach Workshop: 

The research and experiences of great coaches across the country is clear: Positive
is Powerful. In this highly interactive two-hour workshop – sparked by video-based
advice from top pro athletes and coaches on PCA’s National Advisory Board –
attendees explore why and how to pursue both winning and the more important goal
of teaching life lessons through sports. Each of your coaches will leave the workshop
as a PCA-certified Double-Goal Coach, knowing how to:
Fill Emotional Tanks;
Coach for Mastery of Sport (Not Just Scoreboard Results); and
Honor the Game.

 

In addition to advice from pro coaches, workshop content comprises:

Research-based insights from experts in coaching, education and sports
psychology
Hands-on training in field-tested practical, proven tips tools that coaches can
implement simply – but with profound results
The application of PCA tools and principles through specific scenarios to equip
coaches to handle common challenges in youth sports.

About the Grassroots In-Person Courses:

The 7v7 In-Person Course builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module. Specifically, candidates will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players aged 9-10. The course will also ask each candidate to reflect on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth.

The 11v11 In-Person Course builds on the principles covered in U.S. Soccer’s Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Module. Specifically, candidates will learn more about U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Coaching Education Philosophy, Play-Practice-Play Methodology, the Six Tasks of a Coach, and the characteristics of players aged 13 and older. The course will also ask each candidate to reflect on their experiences to develop action steps for personal growth.

Eligibility

In order to register for the U.S. Soccer 7v7 and 11v11 In-person course, all candidates must meet the following pre-requisites:

  • At least 16 years old*
  • Introduction to Grassroots Module

*-Due to online privacy laws, individuals under the age of 16 cannot create DCC profiles, and thus are unable to take Grassroots Courses.

Course Structure

The 7v7 and 11v11 In-Person courses are each 4 hours long and are completed in one day.
