July 7th, 2020 — Idaho Youth Soccer announced today that Skyler Bell has officially resigned from his role as State Technical Director, effective the end of July. He will be joining Utah Youth Soccer as their new Director of Coaching and Player Development.
Skyler has been the IYSA Technical Director for the past 10 years and has become well-respected in the coaching community, not only here in Idaho but also regionally and nationally.
“I have loved working with the players and coaches across Idaho,” Skyler said. “I have developed so many meaningful relationships here that there is a never-ending list of people who have impacted my life for the better. I love Idaho, and it will always be home. I do want to give a special shout out to my IYSA co-workers for being such an amazing team, as well as all of the coaches I had the chance to work with in ODP and coaching education. Thank you!”
Craig Warner, IYSA Executive Director alongside the IYSA Board of Directors, will be looking at solutions to fill the role and responsibilities Bell’s leaving creates. In the meantime, Nicole Arsenault has stepped in as the interim technical lead. She has been with IYSA for two years, assisting Skyler in many of his focus areas.
“It is with a heavy heart that Idaho Youth Soccer Association says goodbye to Skyler. He has provided years of service to the clubs and players of our state. He has been a great example of what a technical director should be, and he will be greatly missed in our soccer community. Good luck in your new position in Utah, we wish you and your family all the best!”
Bill Taylor, IYSA President
