COVID-19 Latest Information Regarding IYSA Sanctioned Activities
IYSA Continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will continue to update our members as and when information is received. The very latest information that we have is that several more non-soccer related activities have been suspended and the list is growing by the hour. Idaho Governor Brad Little also held a press conference this morning regarding the situation. During that conference it was announced that there was a Guide to Mass Gatherings available to download. That document is attached to this message.
IYSA has done our upmost to seek guidance and help from local, regional and national organizations in regards to our league play activity, ODP Sub-Regional, and the guidance we give to clubs, but as you can imagine we are only one of many organizations making similar inquiries and so we have yet to receive an official response. Our members are also receiving higher volumes of inquiries and are looking to IYSA for guidance.
As a precaution for the safety of our players, coaches, referees and spectators, Idaho Youth Soccer has decided that all LEAGUE games will be suspended through March 30th. Team practices may continue and will be at the discretion of the clubs themselves. If we get any further guidance or information that changes the situation we will be sending further updates.
Thank you for your support and cooperation, hopefully we can continue on with the beautiful game in the weeks to come.
